Lyon & Healy Parlor around 1910's

ライオン・アンド・ヒーリー社は1864年、実業家ジョージ・W・ライオンとパトリック・J・ヒーリーの共同事業として設立されました。「ウォッシュバーン」をはじめ、多くのサブブランドでギターを製造していましたが、1928年にギター製造部門を売却したとのこと。

このギターは、スプルース・トップ、エボニー指板、エボニーブリッジ、620mmスケール、ラダーブレーシングといった仕様です。サイド・バックの木材の種類は特定できませんでした。

以前ピックアップが装着されており、エンドピンの穴が拡張されています。それ以外には大きな傷、打痕や補修歴など無く、オリジナルに近い状態が保たれています。

ネックはわずかに順反りしており、弦高は12フレット位置で6弦2.8mm、1弦2.6mm程度となっています。サドルには2mm程度の高さがあります。

柔らかいタッチで、奥行きのあるサウンドです。

Lion & Healy was founded in 1864 as a joint venture between businessmen George W. Lion and Patrick J. Healy. The company manufactured guitars under many sub-brands, including “Washburn,” but reportedly sold its guitar manufacturing division in 1928.

This guitar features a spruce top, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, a 620mm scale length, and ladder bracing. The wood species used for the sides and back could not be identified.

A pickup was previously installed, and the endpin hole has been enlarged. Other than that, there are no major scratches, dents, or signs of repair, and it remains in a condition close to its original state.

The neck has a slight forward bow, and the string action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.8 mm on the 6th string and 2.6 mm on the 1st string. The saddle has a height of about 2 mm.

It has a soft touch and a rich, deep sound.
