Gurian S2M 1980

ガリアンはMichael Gurian氏が立ち上げたアメリカのアコースティックギターブランドです。

1979年にニューハンプシャー州のヒンズデール工場が火事で消失した後、1980年に同州ウェストスワンジーに工場を再建しましたが、1982年には経済的な理由により閉鎖されてしまいます。このギターはシリアルより、1980年から1981年にかけてウェストスワンジーにて制作されたギターだと思われます。

目立つような傷や打痕もなく、修復歴なども見当たりません。ピックアップの装着歴もありません。ネックヒールにストラップピンが装着されています。

ネックの状態は問題なく、弦高は12フレット位置で6弦2.2mm、1弦1.7mmと低めのセッティングです。サドルの高さにはあまり余裕はありません。

マホガニー特有の暖かい中低音に加え、長いサスティーンがあり倍音が豊かなギターです。

Garian is an American acoustic guitar brand founded by Michael Gurian.

After the Hindsdale factory in New Hampshire burned down in 1979, a new factory was rebuilt in West Swansea, New Hampshire in 1980. However, it closed in 1982 due to economic reasons. Based on the serial number, this guitar is believed to have been made in West Swansie between 1980 and 1981.

There are no noticeable scratches or dents, and no evidence of repairs. It has never had a pickup installed. A strap pin is fitted in the neck heel.

The neck condition is fine. The string height is set low: 2.2mm for the 6th string and 1.7mm for the 1st string at the 12th fret. There isn't much room for adjusting the saddle height.

It produces warm mid-to-low tones characteristic of mahogany, combined with long sustain and rich harmonics.
