Maton TE1 Artist 2009

Maton のトミー・エマニュエル シグネチャーTE1  Artistの2009年製です。

「Artist」とつくのは材のグレードが高いことを示していて、こちらもトップにはAAAグレードのスプルースが使われています。全体に弾き込まれた感じはありつつも状態は良いのですが、トップ中央に割れがあり裏からパッチが当てられ塗装も含めた補修がされています。トップ板を軽く叩いても響きに曇りはありませんし、低音から高音までバランスよく鳴っているのでサウンドには大きく影響していないように感じます。

エレアコ仕様でAPMicというピエゾとコンタクトマイクのブレンドが可能な有能なピックアップがついています。アタックが強めな感じとソフトな感じをうまく調整ができ、使い勝手が良さそうです。

弦高は弦高は低めに設定されており12フレット6弦で1.75mm、1弦で1.25mmとなっていますがビビリ等もありません。

演奏性が高く、性能の良いピックアップが付いているのでライブ等で使うのに向いたギターだと思います。

The “Artist” sign indicates a high grade of wood, and here too, AAA grade spruce is used for the top. Although there is a feeling that it has been played all over, it is in good condition, but there is a crack in the center of the top, and a patch has been applied from the back and repaired, including painting. Even if you tap the top plate lightly, the sound will not be cloudy, and the low to high notes are well-balanced, so I don't think it has a big effect on the sound.

It has an electric-acoustic specification and a capable pickup called APMic that can blend piezo and contact microphones. It seems to be easy to use because you can adjust the feeling of strong attack and soft feeling well.

The string height is set low, 1.75 mm for the 6th string at the 12th fret and 1.25 mm for the 1st string, but there is no chatter.

I think it's a guitar suitable for live performances because it has high playability and a good pickup.
