Martin D18 1976

D18の1976年製です。

外見的なコンディションとしては目立った打痕や傷、割れもなく、年代からすると良い状態だと思います。トップの風貌もほんのり色やけし、貫禄が出てきています。

ネック自体は真っ直ぐではあるのですが、若干元起きしているような状態でトラスロッドがアジャスタブルではありませんので弦高調整のためにブリッジを削っています。サドルについてもほとんど残りがありません。その結果として、弦高は12フレット6弦で2.75mm、1弦で2.5mmとなっており、演奏性には問題ないと思います。

サウンド的にはビンテージらしい乾いた響きで、いわゆるレゾナンスの効いた18らしい響きが気持ち良いです。

また付属のケースが古いニューヨークの楽器屋さんのケースのようでかっこいいです。

Externally, there are no noticeable dents, scratches, or cracks, and it is in good condition for its age. The top of the instrument is slightly tarnished and has a sturdy appearance.

The neck itself is straight, but the truss rod is not adjustable, so the bridge has been shaved to adjust the string height. There is also very little left of the saddle. As a result, the string height is 2.75mm on the 6th string and 2.5mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret, which should be fine for playability.

Sound-wise, it has a pleasantly dry vintage-like sound, with a 18-like resonance.

Also, the case that comes with it looks cool, like an old New York music store case.
