Oafu Hawiian Guitar 1930-40's

オアフ・ミュージック・カンパニーは、1930年代から1940年代にかけてアメリカでハワイアン・ギター教室を運営し、そのためのギターも販売していました。

スプルーストップ、メイブルのサイド/バック、マホガニーネック、Xブレーシング、655mmのロングスケールといった仕様で、ナットアダプターとスライドバーが付属します。

指板が再接着補修されたいます。またネックは少し元起きしており、弦高は12フレット位置で6弦、1弦とも約4.5mmと高めですが、ローフレットでの押弦にはそれほどストレスは感じません。また、スチールギターとして使用する際には問題はありません。

胴が厚くロウワーバウト付近で117mmほどあり、そのせいか豊かな音量があり、乾いた明るいサウンドです。

純正かどうかは不明ですが、古いハードケースが付属します。

Oahu Music Company operated Hawaiian guitar schools in the United States from the 1930s through the 1940s and also sold guitars for those classes.

This model features a spruce top, maple sides and back, a mahogany neck, X-bracing, and a 655mm long scale, and comes with a nut adapter and a slide bar.

The fingerboard has been re-glued and repaired. The neck is slightly warped, and the string action is on the high side at approximately 4.5mm for both the 6th and 1st strings at the 12th fret; however, playing in the lower frets does not feel particularly strained. There are also no issues when using it as a steel guitar.

The body is thick, measuring about 117mm near the lower bout, which likely contributes to its rich volume and dry, bright tone.

An old hard case is included, though it is unclear if it is the original one.
