Martin D-18 Custom 2010

D-18のCustom、2010年製です。

付属する仕様書を見ると"SPECIAL INSTRUCTION: 5 Per Month. / Ric F & Bob F or Ed G to pick out Top wood"との記載があり、Custom Shopにて厳選された材が使われているようです。トップのスプルースは霜が降ったような美しい木目です。

15年以上経過したギターですが、傷や打痕、修復歴なども見当たらず、良い状態を保っています。フレットの減りもほとんどありません。ピックアップやストラップピンの装着歴もありません。

ネックの状態も問題なく、弦高は6弦2.5mm、1弦2.0mmと標準的なセッティングです。

D-18らしい明るくレゾナンスの効いたサウンドです。

This is a D-18 Custom.

The included specification sheet notes, “SPECIAL INSTRUCTION: 5 Per Month. / Ric F & Bob F or Ed G to pick out Top wood,” indicating that the wood was carefully selected by the Custom Shop. The spruce top features a beautiful, frosted grain pattern.

Although this guitar is over 15 years old, it shows no signs of scratches, dents, or previous repairs and remains in excellent condition. There is almost no fret wear. It has never had pickups or strap pins installed.

The neck is in perfect condition, and the string action is set to standard specifications: 2.5mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string.

It produces a bright, resonant sound characteristic of the D-18.

It comes with the original hard case.
