Kay K1700 Barney Kessel Pro Sunburst Late1950's

KAY K1700 Barney Kessel Pro 1950年代後半製です。

クリネックスピックアップと言われるティッシュボックスの形のピックアップや、ケルビネーターヘッドと言われるヘッドなど、ユニークなデザインのギターです。デビット・リンドレイがアルバムジャケットで抱えています。

セレクタースイッチ交換、1vol.1tone仕様に変更されています。残り二つのノブはダミーとなっています。

目立つような大きな傷や打痕無く、材の割れやそれに伴う補修歴なども見当たりません。年代からすればとても状態の良いギターです。

ネックの状態も良く、弦高はアジャスタブルサドルで調整可能ですが、現在12フレット位置で6弦2.0mm、1弦1.7mmのセッティングです。

軽くアタック感がありながら、セミホロウボディによる暖かみのあるサウンドです。

おそらく純正の古いハードケースが付属します。

This is a KAY K1700 Barney Kessel Pro from the late 1950s.

It features unique design elements, such as the “Kleenex pickup”—a pickup shaped like a tissue box—and the “Calibinator headstock.” David Lindley is pictured holding one on an album cover.

The selector switch has been replaced, and the configuration has been changed to 1 volume and 1 tone. The remaining two knobs are dummy knobs.

There are no noticeable large scratches or dents, and no cracks in the wood or signs of previous repairs. Considering its age, this guitar is in excellent condition.

The neck is also in good condition. The string action is adjustable via the adjustable saddle, but it is currently set to 2.0mm on the 6th string and 1.7mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret.

It has a slightly punchy attack combined with the warm tone characteristic of a semi-hollow body.

It likely comes with the original vintage hard case.
