As the name implies, the label is hand signed by Tony Rice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis model has been made since 1981, and this guitar is the first of its kind. It was modeled after a 1935 Martin D-28 that Tony Rice inherited from Clarence White, who was using it at the time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are some minor scratches and dings, but there are no noticeable scratches or cracks in the wood. No pickups have been installed. There is a strap pin near the heel of the neck.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is evidence that the bridge has been shaved in the past in order to lower the string height. The bridge is currently 5mm thick in front of the 4th string saddle. Since the pinholes are close to the saddle, there is a ball end on each string root to prevent the folded part of the string from riding on the saddle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe neck is straight with no warping. String height is 2.5mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret, which is a standard setting.
